Spaces & Accommodation
Centred around a magnificent modern straw bale roundhouse, accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.
The roundhouse will very comfortably seat 20-25 people or to look at it another way, there's space for 8-10 yogis. Up to 6 guests can sleep in the roundhouse, whilst the yurts will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests between them.
Seats and fire bowls next to each yurt and a main central firepit near the roundhouse provide further communal spaces. The roundhouse and yurts are heated with wood burning stoves.
We may be 'off grid', but in terms of facilities you wouldn't know it! Plenty of hot water, a power shower, electricity in all the spaces and WiFi if required.View Spaces and Accommodation

We had a lovely time staying in the yurt. The lighting and the decor make it a very relaxing place to be. The wood stove was perfect for keeping it nice and warm and Nathan had plenty of logs and firestarters available throughout our stay. Both the yurt and the wood cabin were clean and we had no complaints with anything. Nathan is very genuine and hospitable, which helped to make our stay in Wales even better. We would definetly recommend staying here if you're looking somewhere quiet, beautiful and a bit different than your run of the mill hotel. - 22 Dec 2017
Such a beautiful place to spend the weekend! I cannot recommend Shayne and Nathan's place enough.
Our hosts were super hospitable and friendly, any questions we had they were just a text away.
The large Yurt is authentically Mongolian and it is a truly magical space, perfect for a group to relax around a fire. The smaller yurt was more secluded, really gorgeous and had a beautiful view. Super warm and cosy and no need for the fires. Nathan generously supplied a starter kit too so no forking out for fire wood! You are off-grid so we had to be mindful... read more - 09 Sep 2018Sheryl
Great location with lots of walks on your door step. Only 20 mins drive to Llangollen. Less to Corwen village. The large yurt has plenty of space with a nice comfy bed. The wood stove heats up nicely after 20-30mins. The kitchen is outside, but sheltered. It’s well equipped.
We had a lovely weekend and I would highly recommend it for the glamping experience. Remember it is glamping, so won’t always have all your luxuries, but that’s what makes it fun. :-) - 09 Jan 2022
If you want somewhere peaceful, beautiful and cosy this is it. We loved staying in the yurt, and getting back to basics cooking on the fire. There’s everything you need here and a fab place to just relax and chill out. Local towns with pubs and restaurants aren’t far and there’s great access to the A5 if you’re looking to visit Snowdonia National Park. - 07 May 2021Colette
My partner and I spent 3 nights in Shayne and Nathan’s yurt, location was amazing, great to sit outside on the hammock chairs and listen to the birds. The yurt was cosy just such a great place to stay. My partner was ill one of the days and the hosts made sure he was ok which was really appreciated. dogs and chickens were also very friendly! Loved our stay. - 26 Jun 2019
Shayne and Nathan were lovely hosts! They had everything prepared for us and gave brilliant instructions on how to get there, how to use everything etc. The yurt was so cosy and warm and we didn’t have the best of weather either. Lovely location up in the mountains, will definitely be staying again! - 28 Aug 2020Nia Lloyd-Jones
Ty mam mawr diolch yn fawr, om swastiastu,
This amazing fabulous, safe enchanted space, has shaken my mind, body, and spirit and soul to a totally pure delight exploration, of my self love ❤️ journey. Feeling the huge depths of the connection with the divine Mam Mawr (mother natural).
The most powerful connection I've ever felt to a place the practice, and the super duper inspirational holders of the space, Nathan and Shayne 🙏💫❤️❤️

We had a wonderful relaxing getaway here. The yurt is a beautiful space, romantic, comfortable and cosy. It's very quiet and the stars were amazing! We enjoyed walking in the Berwyn mountains and swimming/kayaking on Lake Bala.
Nathan was very welcoming and helpful, telling us about local walks and lending us a map.
The kitchen is well equipped and it's handy having a private loo right next to the yurt. I loved it here and wished we were staying longer. - 05 Sep 2018
Our third trip staying at shayne a and Nathan's and we absolutely love it, and wish we could live there. The hosts are really friendly and lovely people to be around, we ran out of wood, so nathan happily came and chopped some for us. The yurts are so comfortable, and the facilities are great for any weather. Hope to stay again soon. - 27 May 2019
Thank you for hosting us, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the yurt! We’d love to stay again, the place was perfect for our little dog. The scenery was beautiful and the facilities were as described and clean. We had everything we needed and the hosts were super friendly and welcoming. - 17 Jun 2021David
Just back from my wonderful week away solo stay in Shayne & Nathan's yurt. Secluded enough to feel cut off from it all but with all the amenities you could possibly need for a longer stay, it's nestled in a stunning location with plenty of excellent walks on your doorstep. The yurt itself was sizeable, homely and it didn't take long for me to settle in. Shayne & Nathan were brilliant hosts, full of helpful tips and always on-hand to keep the wood burner stocked - their dog Ruby even showed me around the Cynwyd Forest trails! I'll definitely be... read more - 15 Mar 2019
What can I say.... This was the first time we have stayed in a Yurt. It was peaceful, beautiful scenery, comfortable and very cosy. Shayne and Nathan are brilliant hosts, very welcoming and helpful. We hope to be back to stay again soon. A much needed break in the beautiful Berwyn Range. We would highly recommend anyone wanting a proper, comfortable and peaceful retreat from life’s rat race. - 25 Oct 2018
We had a lovely stay, the yurt was gorgeous and very cosy. The deck outside was fantastic to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. Lovely location, so peaceful and I loved all the fruit trees, statues etc and the general ambiance was wonderful. Very welcome hot showers after our walk in the hills, and the kitchen was a nice space to sit and enjoy our breakfast. Thanks so much! - 30 Sep 2018
If you want someone quirky, unique, off grid and a place that just feels magical then this is the place to stay. We arrived as a party of 14 and were well looked after and the accommodation was perfect. The experience was just lovely and each yurt/roundhouse was unique in its own way. We loved our weekend! - 16 Mar 2020Claire
We were blessed to have had a Heavenly stay in this sanctuary of sorts that was so lovingly dreamed into being by the wonderful Nathan and Shayne. Peacefully surrounded by beautiful nature whilst sleeping in a magical yurt knowing that it’s in an ecologically minded way is truly a gift! We are so thankful to the both of them and from the heart recommend a stay here. - 28 Jun 2018Shion
this beautiful yurt is truly outstanding. The facilities, yurt, cabin and shower room were created with such concern for everyone's comfort. The yurt is gorgeous and the little stove in there makes you feel so cozy and comfortable. I slept better for the nights we were there that I have in years. We'll be back. A sacred Haven of deep peace and wonder. Thank you x - 01 Oct 2017
Got back from the yurt last night and very sad not to be waking up there this morning! Nathan is such a great host - communication was perfect, he made us feel so welcome and helped us with planning our stay.
The yurt was so spacious, cosy and comfy, and we loved warming up by the fire after spending our days taking in the beautiful views and fresh air. Plenty of pots, pans, cutlery etc, and shower was lovely and warm.
We arrived using public transport, directions were clear and so we had no issues getting there or getting around during our... read more - 06 Dec 2021Tom
Shayne and Nathan were friendly hosts who were very helpful and a pleasure to meet. Our large group of 12 was very comfortably housed in their retreat which was relaxing and well facilitated. We all enjoyed our evening around the fire pit catching up and enjoying the beautiful scenery around their property. Looking forward to our next visit. - 14 Jul 2019

I just held a breathwork and shamanic healing retreat at Ty Mam Mawr and it was a beautiful experience beginning to end. This review almost seems like I'm cheating writing a good review for two extremely good friends, that's how well we were welcomed and the depth of our connection to Shayne and Nathan. The location is absolutely gorgeous. The yurts are really cool and cosy. The round house is an energetic bubble with the vibe of a really sacred space.

A truly amazing, huge yurt in a stunning location with fabulous mountain biking and hiking routes from the doorstep. Completely off the beaten track with some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen. We are officially in love with north wales.
Nathan and Shayne were so helpful and welcoming and gave us great advice and local tips.
Highly recommended! - 21 Aug 2020
What a fantastic stay we had in such a beautiful yurt in a beautiful part of Wales! Never stayed in such a relaxing, tranquil place, with just the birds tweeting and no one else around - it was perfect! The hosts are very friendly, the yurt was so cosy, especially on an evening with the stove lit, and the kitchen cabin was great with plenty of space and lovely, private views. We will definitely be booking again! - 12 May 2019Kimberley
This was mine and my husbands first experience with Airbnb and we were not disappointed. We booked this beautiful yurt to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and we were not let down. It is absolutely beautiful in a stunning location. Very welcoming and always on hand when needed. Great recommendations on where to go. We had some fantastic walks with our dog and built some great memories. Highly recommend coming to stay here. - 10 Jun 2019
We had a lovely time staying in this remote yurt. It was very peaceful and we really enjoyed watching the lambs in the field behind us. The yurt itself was very cosy and comfortable and we really enjoyed cuddling up in there each evening. The kitchen is well stocked if a bit small but so long as you go in one at a time it's fine. I was a bit worried about the toilet, having never used a compost toilet before, but it was really easy to use and not smelly at all!
There are loads of really interesting things... read more - 08 May 2022
