Spaces & Accommodation

We love to help you feel at home.

Centred around a magnificent modern straw bale roundhouse, accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.

The roundhouse will very comfortably seat 20-25 people or to look at it another way, there's space for 8-10 yogis. Up to 6 guests can sleep in the roundhouse, whilst the yurts will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests between them.

Seats and fire bowls next to each yurt and a main central firepit near the roundhouse provide further communal spaces. The roundhouse and yurts are heated with wood burning stoves.

We may be 'off grid', but in terms of facilities you wouldn't know it! Plenty of hot water, a power shower, electricity in all the spaces and WiFi if required.

ll expectations met and exceeded. Nathan could not enough to help and assist in any way possible. Stayed when it was freezing outside and the yurt was warm and comfortable all through the night. It's a space to truly unwind and connect with nature and yourself. Will definitely return and highly recommend. - 06 Dec 2020

Well, another blissful weekend at the Yurts. This time we had the weather with us and it was perfect- sunny and blowy, with chilly nights. Perfect yurt weather and Cynwyd weather as the walks through the woods and up by the waterfall are beautiful. As before, the yurts were equipped with logs, blankets and cushions for a cosy time In the evenings and everything was spotlessly clean. We were in the big yurt this time and it was fabulous. So much room. Very comfortable beds, a piping hot three way shower and well equipped kitchen makes it top glamping. Unforgettable... read more - 31 Mar 2019

Nathan & Shayne were warm, welcoming hosts and their yurt on the forest is just magical! They provided me with all the info I needed before my stay and helped me with any questions that I had. The yurt and the wood cabin for cooking had all the essentials you would need when 'glamping' and the location itself is so serene and beautiful, I enjoyed trying out all the great walks on offer! The yurt experience is something everyone should try at least once - warming up next to the traditional wood burning stove was great! The setting is just... read more - 02 Oct 2020

We had a lovely stay Shayne and Nathan’s Yurt! Even in October when it was wet and windy we could not have been warmer by the log fire!

There are plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable, like a hot shower, and a stove/sink area right outside your door, along with the dedicated kitchen area.

There are beautiful views, lots of wildlife to see (and hear), and lovely areas of woodland to explore.

There are a bunch of great places to visit such as local NT properties, the steam engine that goes through Corwen, and cafes and pubs. Just make sure...

I came tired, looking for an escape from London for a few days. I left whistlin' down the road, rested and renewed. A few observations:

    1) Public transport to get there is easy. I took the train, then the T3 bus from Roabon. Stop for a pint at any number of cute pubs by the Ruabon station.

    2) There are many lovely walkabouts from right at their place. I enjoyed a few long walks, and didn't see a soul the whole time.

    3) The blustery, wintry weather turns the yurt into an evening orchestra! The stove pulls air, the rain pitters down, the...

Absolutely fantastic stay! Not only was it a beautiful location but the hospitality during our time there made us wish we could have stayed longer!

Hosts welcomed our dog, who thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the other pets and wildlife. They were very accommodating of this and ensuring we had everything we required.

Yurt itself and decor created a peaceful ambience and we were supplied with enough wood to keep the fire going! Would definitely recommend a stay here with themes superb hosts

Upon arrival, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes from Shayne and the two dogs. We were shown around the place and made to feel at home instantly. The location is beautiful and the place is a 10/10 and we would highly reccomened this place for all ages, who enjoy the outdoors and an area of outstanding natural scenery. Inside the Yurt is incredible and the small log burner keeps the place warm throughout the night along with a very comfy memory foam mattress! What a lovely little retreat. We stayed here with our young children and pet pooch. We all loved it! Nathan greeted us and showed us around, then a chicken came by to say hi, and before long the neighbouring cows introduced themselves.
The yurt was clean and gave off good chilled vibes, we had use of a private outdoor space to have a fire and bbq with a spectacular view of the Welsh hills. If we ever needed help Nathan was more than willing to help. Definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a break away fortune usual daily grind....

Wonderful and beautiful place. We were 4 young adults who went to have a relaxing weekend away, and that’s exactly what we got.
The yurt was in such a lovely secluded place, with plenty of different and exciting walking spots and some absolutely stunning views, in every direction.

Was interesting using the compost toilet as this was a new experience for all of us! Everything was very clean and well prepared for our visit.

We couldn’t have asked for a better host and will definitely be returning for future holidays.

Hidden up the valley on the edge of a forest it is not the easiest to find but what a treasure awaits when you get there.
An instant peace comes over you as you park up behind your yurt, before being wowed by the fairylights and wood burning stove to greet you in the cosy bed space. Even in icy temperatures the yurt holds its heat and with only the stream nearby you’re easily lulled off to sleep.
To be clear this does not feel like a camping trip, the communal shower and bathroom are clean and warm. Attached to a large...

Such a beautiful place to spend the weekend! I cannot recommend Shayne and Nathan's place enough.
Our hosts were super hospitable and friendly, any questions we had they were just a text away.
The large Yurt is authentically Mongolian and it is a truly magical space, perfect for a group to relax around a fire. The smaller yurt was more secluded, really gorgeous and had a beautiful view. Super warm and cosy and no need for the fires. Nathan generously supplied a starter kit too so no forking out for fire wood! You are off-grid so we had to be mindful...

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. The yurt is beautiful and the facilities are well above the standard you would expect from off grid living. We were able to enjoy the bbq and fire pit. Chilling our drinks in the pond was all part of the adventure (there is a very large kitchen with fridge available but that isn’t as fun!)
Shayne was a wonderful host and although we didn’t meet Nathan his enthusiasm for off grid living was evident in all the fantastic facilities he has built.
Stay here to get away from it all.
