Centred around a magnificent modern straw bale roundhouse, accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.
The roundhouse will very comfortably seat 20-25 people or to look at it another way, there's space for 8-10 yogis. Up to 6 guests can sleep in the roundhouse, whilst the yurts will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests between them.
Seats and fire bowls next to each yurt and a main central firepit near the roundhouse provide further communal spaces. The roundhouse and yurts are heated with wood burning stoves.
We may be 'off grid', but in terms of facilities you wouldn't know it! Plenty of hot water, a power shower, electricity in all the spaces and WiFi if required.

- RiaShayne and Nathan are absolutely amazing hosts - they were attentive and incredibly kind! They welcomed our dog with love and he happily played with their dogs as well! Our stay in their yurt has everything you want and more, we spent everyday either in the yurt, outside next to the BBQ pit or walking in the countryside that surrounds their home. It is beautiful, cosy and relaxing - highly recommendable! Thank you to Shayne and Nathan for making Josh's birthday special and very memorable! - 20 May 2018

- JezBeautiful location and wonderful hosts. Nathan met us when we arrived and gave us the tour and rundown of the facilities.
Lovely helpful hosts, we were given space to enjoy our holiday whilst never being far away should we need anything.
The kitchen is incredibly well appointed, shower is good and hot.

Hils x - 23 Nov 2017MichaelaAbsolutely wonderful place. We stayed for a long weekend and could of easily stayed longer. The location was stunning and we felt so private even though the hosts were close enough for anything you need. Would highly recommend this place and would love to come back again :) thanks so much to Nathan & Shayne - 27 Feb 2022 - AlexandraWe arrived and were greeted by Nathan who was very welcoming. The location was amazing with great views of the mountains. The yurt was so cosy and clean with beautiful furniture and rugs. We were allowed to take our dog lily who had a lovely holiday, we drove to the beach, went to snowdon and the nearby villages. We would definitely recommend this holiday to anyone who wants to escape and relax! Hope to go back in the future! - 01 Jul 2017EmilyFaultless! Nathan gave us the warmest of welcomes and made us feel at home right away, which is such a relief when traveling with dogs. The space is absolutely stunning, well designed with lots of thoughtful touches like handmade rugs, mood lighting, extra blankets, logs for the fire etc. The whole trip was made completely stress free by the detailed instructions from detailed directions to log burner operations. The location is perfect for a quiet getaway surrounded by beautiful walks through the woods with some stunning views as recommended by the amazing hosts. We’ll definitely be returning soon! - 22 Sep 2020GemmaSuch an incredible experience being so far off grid in the crazy weather that goes on when you're so high up. The yurt was so cosey with the fire on and even though it was minus temperatures outside we were honestly too hot at one point.
The lifestyle Shayne and Nathan have adopted is admirable and we certainly need more people who care so much about sustainability and don't relay on conviences so much.
The surrounding areas are stunning, so quiet and peaceful and some lovely walks to go on.
Thanks so much for the experience. - 01 Mar 2020 - VeritySuch a beautiful place to spend the weekend! I cannot recommend Shayne and Nathan's place enough.

Nathan showed us around the place and explained everything perfectly, we had nothing to really ask him (other than when we realised we don’t really know how fires work). We stayed in the smaller yurt and it was perfect for the two of us, it heated up really quickly and retained heat well (in late December). The yurt itself was so cosy I still can’t get my head around how at home I felt. We didn’t have a car and luckily that wasn’t even necessary once we had got up to the yurts, there are walks for miles in almost every direction (tall pine forests, beautiful red valleys, the fresh f*cking air!±!!). Despite not seeing Nathan much once we arrived, he was still very responsive and helpful when we messaged him.
So onto the actual site itself that the two yurts (including Nathan & Shaynes house) were on. I could honestly go on forever in describing just how magical it really feels. We felt like we had more than enough privacy whilst still not feeling isolated, and that is due to how well they have designed everything. From the placement of the pond to the view from the yurt (and kitchen) window. You can hear a mixture of running water, singing birds, blowing trees, and pure beauty. Nathan & Shayne have clearly considered being as integrated into the natural landscape as possible whilst still being able to provide comfort and convenience for everyone there. It seems they have also considered the most subtle details in producing a tranquil and truly spiritual space to feel free in.
All in all it was amaaaazing, and I could still go on explaining why, but I want to eat my dinner. The yurt itself is a work of art and with the stove burning bright, a wonderful place to be on a winters night under what seemed to be a million stars.
Highly recommended and hope to come back and share again Shayne and Nathan's unique way of life. Communication was prompt, directions accurate and check in was easy.

And, when the wood-burning stove was lit, it was really warm and cosy. We experienced three cold nights there, but the stove kept us very comfortable. The immediate area has lots of good walks to keep the dogs happy. And, the Blue Lion down the hill in Cynwyd makes an excellent Sunday roast. It's dog-friendly too in the bar area. We are pleased to see how Nathan and Shayne have developed their property to make it very eco-friendly and off-the-grid. We both appreciate making minimal impact in our holiday choices and this property certainly ticked all the boxes for us. I can certainly recommend this property and hope to return again in the near future. The yurt was so cosy, with plenty of spare blankets, lovely light and craftsmanship. The location is beautiful, the spot is nice and private. It was pretty rainy and windy, but the yurt stood these well and felt absolutely safe inside - but not separated from nature.
We came by bus and walked up from the village to the location. It is uphill, so be prepared if you have the same idea, but it is definitely not too much, just a good exercise starting your adventure. Follow the instructions, and when you see the wind turbine and the yurts, you can be sure you are at the right place!
We hope to come back soon again,
