Ty Mam Mawr Off-Grid Eco Retreat Centre
Ty Mam Mawr off-grid eco retreat centre orbits around a beautiful straw bale roundhouse with luxury accommodation provided in two insulated and heated yurts, a log cabin with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with hot power shower along with a smaller compost-loo/shower with hot running water.
There is plenty of room in the roundhouse for 8-10 yogis stretched out or 20-25 folk sitting. Accommodation can be provided for up to 18 people in the two yurts and the roundhouse. There is a central fire pit and one by each yurt.
Electricity is supplied to all spaces via a renewable energy system using solar, hydro and wind generation. All our water comes fresh from mountain springs. Spaces are heated with wood burning stoves.

The Roundhouse is a gorgeous low impact timber frame straw bale eco-building sitting at the heart of our retreat centre high in the Berwyn Mountains in North Wales.
With a large wood burning stove, it is warm and bright with its' many windows overlooking the distant hills and nearby forests.
There is plenty of space for 20-25 folk to sit or to put it another way, for 8-10 yogis to stretch right out! In addition to the accommodation in the yurts, the roundhouse can also be used to accommodate up to 6 more folks on single mattresses when the whole off grid eco venue is rented for retreats and workshops.
It is a light, magical and powerful space…some call it a temple…with its reciprocating roof and central skylight that resembles a vortex to the higher realms…

A beautiful and spacious but cosy authentic Mongolian ger (or yurt) sleeping from 6-8 guests. We've adapted the yurt for the Welsh mountain conditions with a fantastic wood burning stove and big central skylight.
Right next to the yurt is a small wooden shed with kitchen area including a gas stove and sink, compost toilet and hot shower cubicle. There is a secluded seating area and fire pit/BBQ to the south of the yurt.
Located in Cynwyd forest overlooking the Dee Valley with views towards Snowdonia and the distant mountains. At the northern end of the Berwyn mountains, the North Berwyn Way is only a couple of hundred metres away. The Dee Valley AONB (Area of outstanding natural beauty) is literally on the doorstep with Snowdonia National Park 20 minutes away.
Deep peace & tranquility, stunning skies and views, no light pollution. Abundant wildlife, nature and trees.

Ty Crwn Bach Idris (Idris's little round house) is a gorgeous cosy yurt comfortably sleeping up to four guests, with shared log cabin kitchen/dining room/shower/toilet. Covered and partially enclosed deck area with hammocks, swing seats and adirondack chairs. BBQ and fire bowl with logs provided.

Ty Log is a 5m x 5m log cabin containing a superbly well equipped kitchen with commercial range cooker, fridge, commercial sink unit and ample stainless steel work benches and a dining area comfortably seating 8 guests. As well as the kitchen area, there is a shower room (a a seriously hot and powerful shower!), flushing toilet and handbasin.
The cabin is light and airy and has wonderful views from the cooking area out over Snowdonia and Arening Fawr.
The kitchen has been designed to cater for small and large groups and is also suitable for running small scale cookery workshops and classes.
