Spaces & Accommodation
Centred around a magnificent modern straw bale roundhouse, accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.
The roundhouse will very comfortably seat 20-25 people or to look at it another way, there's space for 8-10 yogis. Up to 6 guests can sleep in the roundhouse, whilst the yurts will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests between them.
Seats and fire bowls next to each yurt and a main central firepit near the roundhouse provide further communal spaces. The roundhouse and yurts are heated with wood burning stoves.
We may be 'off grid', but in terms of facilities you wouldn't know it! Plenty of hot water, a power shower, electricity in all the spaces and WiFi if required.View Spaces and Accommodation

A great place to stay, the yurt was super warm despite the cold March weather and very spacious for 5 guests plus our dog.
Great bathroom and kitchen facilities in addition to the yurt.
Super walks available for our dog in the fields and woodland.
Shayne was very friendly and even gave us some freshly laid eggs for breakfast.
Very much enjoyed the stay - 08 Mar 2020
We had a fantastic stay in the yurt, and can’t wait to return! Stunning, peaceful location on the edge of the forest, with waterfalls and hiking paths on your doorstep. The facilities are outstanding: a very well-equipped kitchen, delightful hot shower, wifi, and fire pits. Shayne was a warm host, giving us plenty of local advice. Thank you! - 26 Aug 2019
Such a fantastic place to stay, right in the middle of the countryside. An hour to Snowdon an hour to the coast... brilliant. The fire in the yurt kept the room toastie, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a Christmas roast and the shower had lovely hot water. Highly recommend! - 28 Dec 2019Natasha
The yurt was an amazing weekend break away! Perfect opportunity to relax and explore some of the beautiful welsh countryside! The yurt itself was very nicely decorated and the log burner kept us nice and toasty at night. Nathan was a great host and gave us lots of tips of where to go walking and was very welcoming. Overall a great experience and we will hopefully get chance to go back at some point in the future! :) - 18 Nov 2018
Shayne and Nathan were superb hosts- nothing was ever too much trouble and they thought of everything. The yurt was clean and designed so well- absolutely loved our stay there- definitely be great to go back in the summer time. It had been snowing during our visit but the yurt itself was so warm and cosy we looked forward to our cosy nights in after a day of exploring. Kitchen has everything you need and so interesting how they generate own energy. Really is a relaxing stay away- missing it already! Definitely a chilled eco friendly mini break! Will be... read more - 14 Feb 2018
What an amazing place. The yurt is simply gorgeous with everything you could need. the skylight to the stars is such a lovely touch and the chickens made us giggle a lot. Snowdon walks less than an hour away, and plenty of lovely walks near by or just enjoy the space laze in the hammock and build fires ;) Lush!! - 10 Aug 2018Jonathan
What a top place! We’ve had a quick family break (2 adults, 3 kids age 9,10,13) and we’ve loved every minute of Yurt life! The Yurt itself is fantastic and a great space. Brilliantly decorated, a cosy warm stove and outside area for fires, seating. The facilities are all thoughtfully done with attention paid to being self sufficient as you are off grid. You wouldn’t know this though as you have all you need. The area itself is off the beaten track and you need to drive to access shops, eating etc but there is also a well equipped kitchen... read more - 28 Apr 2019Louise
What a fabulous place to stay. Exactly as advertised: a warm and cosy yurt! We couldn’t have asked for more. The log burning stove in the yurt was more than enough to keep us toasty warm at night. The location is in a stunning part of Wales with beautiful views to observe and explore. The facilities extremely clean and well-kept whilst being environmentally friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others. Thank you for being so accommodating Nathan! - 16 Apr 2019
Cosy yurt in the middle of the wilderness. As in the description, it's in the lap of nature! Lovely location, and Shayne and Nathan are wonderful warm and helpful hosts. They live off the grid, producing their own electricity and water. Some nice walks to do around the area, and lots of stars to see at night! - 28 Jun 2018Ruth
The yurt is warm and cosy, set within beautiful countryside and we had some great walks. Nathan was a friendly and accommodating host and we enjoyed meeting him. Kitchen amenities had everything you need and the other facilities were excellent too. We will certainly be visiting again. - 08 Sep 2019
Wow, what a lovely 4 days we have had at this beautiful yurt. Nathan and Shayne are great hosts very warm and friendly with lots of advice on local walks to hand. The yurt it’s self is truly amazing and it has its own little garden area with fire pit/bbq, chairs and table. The perfect place to come back to chill after a nice long walk and toast some marshmallows which went down a treat with our 6 year old son. I really can’t rate this pace enough. We are a family of 3 with a black Labrador and let... read more - 29 Aug 2019Tom
Beautiful welsh scenery and surrounded by wildlife. Warm and good size Yurt - get the log fire going and you’ll be really toasty.
Nathan and Shayne know the area well and recommended some great walks for dogs. You feel at peace sitting out on the veranda early morning with a cup of coffee listening to the flowing water and birds chirping away.
Me and my wife stayed here for our first wedding Ann and our only regret is not staying long enough.
We’ll be back eventually.
Thank you Nathan & Shayne - 25 Mar 2019
Our stay was perfectly timed for a nice warm Easter weekend. We were greeted by Shayne who was very attentive and made us feel at home. The yurt is lovely, just exactly what you expect, with nice views. What we really enjoyed was the birdsong, a range of finches but also woodpeckers, cuckoo and even a sighting of a sparrowhawk. There are some resident Pheasant families that will keep you amused for hours. Considering this is off grid it didn't feel like it in that electricity and wifi were good, the kitchen facilities spotless and... read more - 22 Apr 2019Hussain
Highly recommened this booking! We found it cosy even at night despite minus temperatures thanks to the wood burners so dont let the time of year put you off.
On arrival the yurts and kitchen were very clean and the lovely hosts were always available if needed but allowed us pur privacy. Personally the best part of the experience was the most beautiful walks without the need for a car to get there. The children loved the friendly dogs the most and enjoying being with the family in the evening playing games. The place has something for everyone! - 05 Jan 2019
What a fantastic stay we had in such a beautiful yurt in a beautiful part of Wales! Never stayed in such a relaxing, tranquil place, with just the birds tweeting and no one else around - it was perfect! The hosts are very friendly, the yurt was so cosy, especially on an evening with the stove lit, and the kitchen cabin was great with plenty of space and lovely, private views. We will definitely be booking again! - 12 May 2019Helen
Shayne and Nathan’s yurt is absolutely beautiful. The decor is very attractive and colourful and the yurt feels so cosy with the log burning stove on. The scenery surrounding the yurt is absolutely stunning and there are also interesting and picturesque towns to visit nearby. The cooking, bathroom and shower facilities were beyond anything we expected and made the stay practical and easy. We would highly recommend staying here. - 24 Sep 2019Victoria
Really fantastic place, very peaceful with beautiful views. Yurt was truly cosy, once the fire got going it was lovely and toasty despite being 1 degree outside. Hosts were super hospitable even when we got very very lost! Great facilities for cooking, eating and socialising. Very friendly dogs even came to say hello which was a lovely surprise! Already planning on coming back soon! - 30 Nov 2018
We absolutely loved staying in the yurt, it has such a cosy wonderful vibe to it and the location was beautiful. Everything about our stay was amazing, can’t fault a single thing. The location was great for walking and getting to near by towns and the yurt and all the amenities were super clean. Shayne and Nathan were on holiday so we didn’t get to meet them but there friends were super helpful and showed us around. We will definitely be going back again! - 19 Aug 2018
Absolutely fantastic stay! Not only was it a beautiful location but the hospitality during our time there made us wish we could have stayed longer!
Hosts welcomed our dog, who thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the other pets and wildlife. They were very accommodating of this and ensuring we had everything we required.
Yurt itself and decor created a peaceful ambience and we were supplied with enough wood to keep the fire going! Would definitely recommend a stay here with themes superb hosts - 11 Apr 2019Stephanie
Shayne and Nathan were excellent hosts. They kept in constant communication before our trip and were very understanding when our plans had to change by a day. The yurt was cosy and unique and the surrounding landscape was fantastic to take-in in the morning with a cup of coffee! Nathan gave us plenty of sight-seeing recommendations in the area, but unfortunately, we were not there long enough to really explore. Will definitely be staying here again! - 23 Mar 2018
Gorgeous yurt and space. All very chilled and bed was so comfy. Wonderful waking up to the Berwyn forest and happily swinging in the hammock!! The small log burner off so much heat- which was lovely and would be so cosy in winter. Shayne and Nathan were very friendly and the chickens and dogs were a lovely addition! - 22 Jul 2018
