Spaces & Accommodation
Centred around a magnificent modern straw bale roundhouse, accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.
The roundhouse will very comfortably seat 20-25 people or to look at it another way, there's space for 8-10 yogis. Up to 6 guests can sleep in the roundhouse, whilst the yurts will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests between them.
Seats and fire bowls next to each yurt and a main central firepit near the roundhouse provide further communal spaces. The roundhouse and yurts are heated with wood burning stoves.
We may be 'off grid', but in terms of facilities you wouldn't know it! Plenty of hot water, a power shower, electricity in all the spaces and WiFi if required.View Spaces and Accommodation

Such a wonderful eco retreat centre here in Wales, the shaking, food, accommodation and welcome from shayne and Nathan was first class, looking forward to the next one already.

The yurt was an amazing weekend break away! Perfect opportunity to relax and explore some of the beautiful welsh countryside! The yurt itself was very nicely decorated and the log burner kept us nice and toasty at night. Nathan was a great host and gave us lots of tips of where to go walking and was very welcoming. Overall a great experience and we will hopefully get chance to go back at some point in the future! :) 18 Nov 2018
My partner and I spent 3 nights in Shayne and Nathan’s yurt, location was amazing, great to sit outside on the hammock chairs and listen to the birds. The yurt was cosy just such a great place to stay. My partner was ill one of the days and the hosts made sure he was ok which was really appreciated. dogs and chickens were also very friendly! Loved our stay. 26 Jun 2019Kimberley
This was mine and my husbands first experience with Airbnb and we were not disappointed. We booked this beautiful yurt to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and we were not let down. It is absolutely beautiful in a stunning location. Very welcoming and always on hand when needed. Great recommendations on where to go. We had some fantastic walks with our dog and built some great memories. Highly recommend coming to stay here. 10 Jun 2019
We had a wonderful relaxing getaway here. The yurt is a beautiful space, romantic, comfortable and cosy. It's very quiet and the stars were amazing! We enjoyed walking in the Berwyn mountains and swimming/kayaking on Lake Bala. Nathan was very welcoming and helpful, telling us about local walks and lending us a map. The kitchen is well equipped and it's handy having a private loo right next to the yurt. I loved it here and wished we were staying longer. 05 Sep 2018Lauren
We absolutely loved our stay. A beautiful retreat from the world with cozy spaces and friendly pups and chickens. Easily accessible to Bala, Llangollen, and Corwen, but also really nice to just stay close and explore the trails. The kitchen and bathroom were immaculate and the yurt itself was warm and so comfortable. Shayne was so helpful and fun to talk to. 15 Jun 2018
Just back from a fabulous three day break in the Welsh mountains at one of the most unique airbnb properties we have ever stayed in. The location was excellent, being conveniently placed to access most of North Wales abd the yurt was everything that we expected, and yes, while we were in fact living off the grid, Shayne and Nathan made sure that the whole experience was extremely comfortable with plenty of hot showers and great kitchen facilities (and even wifi if you just have to keep in touch with the outside world but much better to leave technology... read more 24 Feb 2019Monieka
Fantastic hosts, it was an overall brilliant experience. The yurt was beautiful and very peaceful. The amenities are great too. Nathan was lovely and was very informative with suggestions on what to do in the area/nearby. 100% overall, thanks again look forward to visiting again in the future. 14 Apr 2019
We had a lovely time here. Shayne & Nathan are lovely and helpful hosts with clear knowledge on the local area with lots of suggestions of what you can do in the area. We loved the suggested walk we went on and we visited a local waterfall as suggested which was beautiful. All in all, we had a great experience here and have already recommend the place to put friends and family. Thank you for having us :) 15 Feb 2019
Beautiful location and wonderful hosts. Nathan met us when we arrived and gave us the tour and rundown of the facilities. Lovely helpful hosts, we were given space to enjoy our holiday whilst never being far away should we need anything. The kitchen is incredibly well appointed, shower is good and hot.If you're looking for a getaway from it all you won't find better than this 27 Dec 2018Rochelle
Very quiet and peaceful holiday which was perfect for us and our dog. Great location with many walks close by, to get further afield into snowdonia it took us roughly a 1 hour drive each time but this gave us great opportunity to stop off at beauty spots. It can get very cold in the yurt at night so the use of the wood stove is very much needed and the included free bucket of logs you get lasts at least 5 days. You share the kitchen and bathroom with the smaller yurt which everytime was clean and had... read more 05 Jul 2019
Absolutely stunning location and a beautiful yurt. Nathan made us very welcome, while also giving us all the privacy we needed for a romantic trip away. All amenities were provided and the use of the log burning stove was explained to us; luckily because we didn’t have a clue! It turns out it was very simple to use and it made the yurt incredibly toasty on a chilly night. The yurt, the kitchen area and the bathroom were spotless and the bed was ridiculously comfy. Plus there was an adorable chicken called Esmeralda! This is an ideal spot for exploring lots... read more 28 Mar 2018Neve
Great accommodation, very clean and had all kitchen equipment necessary! The yurt was lovely to stay in and really loved the rural location! The hosts never bothered us and gave us our privacy which was great. The bathroom and kitchen were as clean as the yurt which is rare when experiencing rural living! Everything was exactly as expected and we loved every minute of it would defiantly recommend if you like the outdoors of camping but prefer a slightly more (glamping) approach! I only suggest that when you book and are on route to the location.. do not use the... read more 05 Jun 2019Vicki
A very relaxing stay. Off grid and very peaceful. Very clean facilities including kitchen facilities and shower/toilet room. The hammocks on the decking were great... lovely to chill out on after a day of exploring North Wales. Literally the only noise to be heard is that of the woodpecker and cuckoo of a morning and an owl... which was a lovely sound to hear. Shayne and Nathan although not there on arrival (as we arrived a little later than we expected) ensured we had all the information we required and Shayne came to greet us the following day when we were... read more 19 Jun 2018
What an amazing place to stay! We stayed in the smaller yurt, plenty big enough for both of us with lovely outside space and our own fire pit. Beautiful bed linen and wall hangings inside and fairy lights which added to the cozy ness along with the log burner. Fully equipped spotlessly clean kitchen in the log cabin next door. Didn’t get to meet Shayne unfortunately but Nathan is a great host. Very hospitable and up for a chat. They have a beautiful place up there in the forest and will most certainly be going back but for longer next... read more 21 Oct 2018Louise

One doesn’t always write fantastic Airb&b reviews, but this is the exception. Words do not exist to explain the utter brilliance of the yurt! The views are spectacular, great location to travel and see the many sights in Wales. The site it’s self and facilities are clean and well kept. We were very warm in the yurt with the duvet provided (there are extra blankets if you get cold). We loved our visit and will be back again in the future ! 11 Apr 2019
Most relaxing break ever, we will be back. Shared kitchen is excellent and shower/toilet spotless.Loved the yurt, warm, cosy and comfy on the frosty cold first night. Lucky to get a sunny Saturday in Wales and I just wanted to sit and swing in the hammock chair :) Fell in love with the chucks too! I felt right at home in this beautiful spot. The outdoor spaces are excellent. Lovely host nathan made us feel most welcome 07 Apr 2019
Beautiful welsh scenery and surrounded by wildlife. Warm and good size Yurt - get the log fire going and you’ll be really toasty.Nathan and Shayne know the area well and recommended some great walks for dogs. You feel at peace sitting out on the veranda early morning with a cup of coffee listening to the flowing water and birds chirping away.Me and my wife stayed here for our first wedding Ann and our only regret is not staying long enough. We’ll be back eventually.Thank you Nathan & Shayne 25 Mar 2019K
Excellent hosts - Nathan had great communication and made check-in super easy. The yurt was very cosy and even when it was only 5 degrees outside, the inside was so warm (after a couple of minutes with a log on the fire!) Will recommend to anyone looking for a short stay in the North Wales mountains. 10 May 2019
One of the rare places you stumble across on Airbnb, get super excited about, and it lives up to and even surpasses expectations! A beautiful place in a magical location!!Nathan and Shayne were both lovely, welcoming and attentive hosts, we had everything we needed and our stay was not only a breeze but also very relaxing and chilled!!I could easily return time and time again! And hopefully will! Thanks a bunch and see you soon 21 Oct 2018

Great location and the Yurt is really cool. Shayne and Nathan were really helpful and facilitated a late check in for us travelling up from Guildford.Everything you need is here and it is a great base to explore from to places like Llangollen and Betsy. Thanks for your hospitality. 04 Aug 2019Anson
We had a lovely time staying in the yurt. The lighting and the decor make it a very relaxing place to be. The wood stove was perfect for keeping it nice and warm and Nathan had plenty of logs and firestarters available throughout our stay. Both the yurt and the wood cabin were clean and we had no complaints with anything. Nathan is very genuine and hospitable, which helped to make our stay in Wales even better. We would definetly recommend staying here if you're looking somewhere quiet, beautiful and a bit different than your run of the mill hotel. 22 Dec 2017
We stayed for four nights with our 6 month old daughter. The Yurt looks great and is in a beautiful location. It is very comfortable and cosy even though it's pretty large. Shayne and Nathan were great hosts, very easy going, easy to talk to and helpful. Facilities were all good, kitchen was well equiped and comfy. 21 Jun 2019Hilary
Outstanding. Spent four nights over Christmas. In the big yurt. Sleeps 8. Terribly romantic. Nice double bed. Fairy lights so sweet. Stylish design. Hot shower and flushable loo. Huge gas oven for Christmas dinner. Shared kitchen with couple in other yurt which worked fine. Location remote and beautiful. Found great Welsh stew at Grouse Inn but we drove there. Would be scary in ice as some steep drops from the road. Top of a hill so great views but our 4x4 was reassuring! Two lovely chickens. No roosters. Amazing retreat location. You've got to visit. 26 Dec 2017
What a fantastic stay we had in such a beautiful yurt in a beautiful part of Wales! Never stayed in such a relaxing, tranquil place, with just the birds tweeting and no one else around - it was perfect! The hosts are very friendly, the yurt was so cosy, especially on an evening with the stove lit, and the kitchen cabin was great with plenty of space and lovely, private views. We will definitely be booking again! 12 May 2019Ross
Nathan was really friendly, and although we didn't have to interact a great deal, you could tell both Nathan and Shayne were incredibly attentive and helpful. The place itself is great and situated well for exploring. The yurt was fantastic, as were the rest of the facilities. It is the ideal place to escape stress and relax. 20 May 2018
