Greener Glamping

Posted on October 4, 2020July 30, 2025 by Nathan Green

So we are really pleased to announce that not only have we been certificated by the Greener Camping Club, we’ve also now sent our new Greener Glamping website live at greenerglamping.uk.

Our new site is specifically for renting the yurts only and not the whole of Ty Mam Mawr retreat centre.

    • I stayed here for three nights with my wife and our two small dogs. It was my 65th birthday weekend and I wanted something a bit different for the special occasion. The property is easy to find and in a really accessible location, but still away from it all. We had everything we needed to make our weekend very comfortable. The adjoining kitchen / dining room is very well equipped and very roomy. Plenty of storage space and food preparation surfaces. The shower room / WC has everything you need. The highlight of the stay though was the yurt. Plenty of room for two humans plus two hounds. And, when the wood-burning stove was lit, it was really warm and cosy. We experienced three cold nights there, but the stove kept us very comfortable. The immediate area has lots of good walks to keep the dogs happy. And, the Blue Lion down the hill in Cynwyd makes an excellent Sunday roast. It's dog-friendly too in the bar area. We are pleased to see how Nathan and Shayne have developed their property to make it very eco-friendly and off-the-grid. We both appreciate making minimal impact in our holiday choices and this property certainly ticked all the boxes for us. I can certainly recommend this property and hope to return again in the near future. Thank you Nathan and Shayne!!

    • It was our first experience of a Yurt and my sons were thrilled when we were shown around by our host.

The facilities available were also fantastic with a large communal kitchen which was well stocked with kitchen equipment and the cleanest oven I think I’ve ever seen.

Our Yurt also had access to a private toilet, shower and small kitchen area which was perfect for grabbing a coffee before you are able to face anyone.

The yurt and area around the yurt feels very secluded and we only briefly saw the others staying in the other yurt once.

We used the BBQ on the first night and enjoyed the views before rain pushed us inside.

The yurt was fantastic and very spacious for the four of us. It was a cozy space and everyone slept well. The whole area was very well kept and clean.

We spent a day walking up Snowdon which was about an hours drive from the yurt.

Would happily come back again as we really enjoyed the visit. Thank you for having us.

    • This place is amazing! Me and my partner stayed there for 3 nights where we were greeted by Nathan and Shayne who were lovely. They showed us around the yurts along with Cabins. Any questions we had they were there to help. It was also sweet of them show us connections to meditation retreats in our hometown. The place it's self had some lovely walks to go too with national parks and lakes.

    • The yurt was brilliant! Even the crazy windy weather didn't spoil it. The log burner gets things really toasty quickly. Nathan made us feel really welcome, refilling the logs and bringing us fresh eggs in the morning. A gorgeous peaceful spot, just what we needed to chill for a few days. Lots to do in the local area, we will deffinetly be back in the summer! Thanks
