Spaces & Accommodation

We love to help you feel at home.

Centred around a magnificent modern straw bale roundhouse, accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.

The roundhouse will very comfortably seat 20-25 people or to look at it another way, there's space for 8-10 yogis. Up to 6 guests can sleep in the roundhouse, whilst the yurts will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests between them.

Seats and fire bowls next to each yurt and a main central firepit near the roundhouse provide further communal spaces. The roundhouse and yurts are heated with wood burning stoves.

We may be 'off grid', but in terms of facilities you wouldn't know it! Plenty of hot water, a power shower, electricity in all the spaces and WiFi if required.

Absolutely brilliant stay in the most beautiful surroundings. Been to Wales many years ago and had forgotten what a wonderfully amazing part of the world Wales is. So green, full of valleys. Loveeeeeedddddd the yurt, the location, amenities (you thought of everything), the marshmallows around the fire watching the sunset. gorgeous walks on your doorstep. You made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We will be booking to come again with family and also with girlfriends. So wonderful to be reminded of the importance of positive well being, self reflection and connection to nature. We both hit the pause button... read more - 12 Oct 2017

Really cool place in the remote Welsh countryside. Perfect for a relaxing get away. Lovely to sit by the fire pit and catch up with old friends then sleep in the cool Mongolian yurt. - 16 Jul 2018

This place is stunning. The yurt sits 400m above a sleepy Welsh village called Cynwyd. We arrived in the evening and woke up to gorgeous views, all covered in snow. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed, and firewood was cheap and readily available for the stove in our yurt, keeping our stay cosy. Only a short 50 minute drive to Snowdonia national park, I fully recommend this as a place to stay if you'd like to climb Snowdon. Will definitely come back. - 11 Nov 2019

Staying here exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect secluded haven for a much needed nurturing time. Immersed in nature in a stunning clean yurt, adjacent to a super well equipped cabin. We had all the facilities needed for a short break. Clean air in superb settings, no light pollution enabled nights to be filled with clear views of star filled evenings. We didn't need to go anywhere as the walks on our doorstep gave us ample opportunity to explore the stunning beauty of this location. The hosts Shayne and Nathan were the best, kind, openhearted down... read more - 26 Sep 2017

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. The yurt is beautiful and the facilities are well above the standard you would expect from off grid living. We were able to enjoy the bbq and fire pit. Chilling our drinks in the pond was all part of the adventure (there is a very large kitchen with fridge available but that isn’t as fun!)
Shayne was a wonderful host and although we didn’t meet Nathan his enthusiasm for off grid living was evident in all the fantastic facilities he has built.
Stay here to get away from it all.

If you're looking for something a bit quirky but that still has all the amenities you need, then this is a great place to go. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, the yurt was incredible and they have everything you need. Everything is clean and the setting is fantastic, beautiful and quiet with a nice babbling brook for background noise. The shared facilities were great and we never had any issues with waiting (there is only one other yurt). Overall, great stay. The beautiful weather definitely helped :) - 17 Jul 2019

Just got back from a 2 night stay at Shayne & Nathan’s Yurt. We couldn’t recommend it more, the hosts were brilliant, very welcoming and always there if you needed help. The yurt itself was lovely, very cosy with the log burner heating it up in around 15 minutes, and the cabin with the kitchen/toilet shower was great. It is in an ideal location, quiet, nice views and close to little villages. We had a great time and hope to be back soon! Thanks! - 21 Feb 2018

Such a beautiful place to spend the weekend! I cannot recommend Shayne and Nathan's place enough.
Our hosts were super hospitable and friendly, any questions we had they were just a text away.
The large Yurt is authentically Mongolian and it is a truly magical space, perfect for a group to relax around a fire. The smaller yurt was more secluded, really gorgeous and had a beautiful view. Super warm and cosy and no need for the fires. Nathan generously supplied a starter kit too so no forking out for fire wood! You are off-grid so we had to be mindful...

The yurt is as beautiful as in the pictures and we had a great time staying in it. The bed was comfy, there is a proper shower and all kitchen paraphernalia, one needs. Bring your own matches, towles, tea etc. though.

We had such a wonderful time at Shayne and Nathan's peaceful mountain hideaway.
We stayed in the larger of the two yurts and the two of us had lots of space to make ourselves at home. The place was clean and peaceful, and the bed was nice and comfy.
We enjoyed using the sweet little kitchen for making our meals. We had everything we needed. The fridge was a decent size for our food for the week, and they provided useful storage boxes for our dry foods.
It was great to have sole use of our own toilet and shower too.

Stunning location for a weekend retreat We hosted a retreat for 12 people across a weekend, with yoga, meditation, breathwork, cold water therapy and hikes in nature. We love this space, as it's such a beautiful setting in nature and the yurts and round house are so charming! Shayne + Nathan were really supportive, helpful and welcoming. The yurts are comfy and cosy to sleep in, the facilities are excellent - nice hot showers, good water pressure, clean toilets and a decent kitchen with loads of utensils so we could cook group meals for our retreat guests. You’ll love this place! Up on too of a hill, you can see the sunrise, sunset and moon rise. The changing weather systems make the scenery constantly different and interesting. The local village is super friendly as is the wee pub.

There is plenty wild swimming around, loads of walks and wonderful nature.

There is so much to do we ended up spending every day out the whole day but the yurt is huge and would allow for plenty of at home activities too.

Shayne, Nathan and all the animals are welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Shayne and Nathan’s Airbnb is even better than we could’ve imagined - the photos really don’t do it justice. The hosts are lovely, down to earth and are there to help whether it’s to turn the oven on or suggest a place for lunch.
The location alone is incredible - somewhere that feels like the middle of nowhere whilst only being 5 minutes from the main road. Words can’t describe how incredible this place is.

We had an amazing 3 night stay in Nathan and Shayne’s yurt! Nathan gave us a warm welcome and tour on our arrival. We were blown away by the scenery surrounding the yurt and how self sufficient everything was. We’ve stayed in a few yurts before, but found this one really had all the amenities spot on! The kitchen, shower and toilet are on your door step, the fire pit and bbq are in a nice private area (also right beside the yurt) and the main log cabin has practically everything you can think of kitchen wise. Shayne and Nathan's yurt is in a stunning location, so peaceful and quiet, a real treat to have no road noise! The hosts are on hand, but totally respectful of our privacy, we felt like we had our very own bit of Welsh mountain. The yurt , cabin and bathroom were all spotless and really well equipped, it was really easy to cook tasty meals both in the kitchen and on the fire outside. I stayed for a weekend in February with my partner and we both had a wonderful time - we only wish we could have stayed longer!

The yurt is well furnished and, thanks to the stove, warm enough even on a cold night. The cabin kitchen is clean and well-equipped, and made things much more convenient. And it's all set in beautiful surroundings.

Well, another blissful weekend at the Yurts. This time we had the weather with us and it was perfect- sunny and blowy, with chilly nights. Perfect yurt weather and Cynwyd weather as the walks through the woods and up by the waterfall are beautiful. As before, the yurts were equipped with logs, blankets and cushions for a cosy time In the evenings and everything was spotlessly clean. We were in the big yurt this time and it was fabulous.
