An instant peace comes over you as you park up behind your yurt, before being wowed by the fairylights and wood burning stove to greet you in the cosy bed space. Even in icy temperatures the yurt holds its heat and with only the stream nearby you’re easily lulled off to sleep.
To be clear this does not feel like a camping trip, the communal shower and bathroom are clean and warm. Attached to a large cabin with industrial cooker to create whatever takes your fancy.
If you want to save time and meet the locals then head 10 mins down the road to llandrillo. The Dudley arms was a cosy traditional pub with good food and a friendly feel. Or for a special occasion Tyddyn Llan is your local Michelin star restaurant with a friendly dinner party atmosphere.
During the day there are plenty of forest, lake and mountain walks for all experience levels. The mountains making a dramatic backdrop to any expedition.
To top it all off Nathan and Shayne are so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area that you can completely unwind, watching the sunrise and set from your hammock. read less
