Spaces & Accommodation

We love to help you feel at home.

Centred around a magnificent modern straw bale roundhouse, accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.

The roundhouse will very comfortably seat 20-25 people or to look at it another way, there's space for 8-10 yogis. Up to 6 guests can sleep in the roundhouse, whilst the yurts will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests between them.

Seats and fire bowls next to each yurt and a main central firepit near the roundhouse provide further communal spaces. The roundhouse and yurts are heated with wood burning stoves.

We may be 'off grid', but in terms of facilities you wouldn't know it! Plenty of hot water, a power shower, electricity in all the spaces and WiFi if required.

Absolutely gorgeous and comfortable yurt. Easy to make warm on a freezing cold night. Kitchen well equipped. Very peaceful and tranquil area. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all. - 29 Jan 2019

what an amazing place. we are a group of young at heart mature ladies, who were in the area for an out door swimming event. we are always looking something different but value for money. we defiantly found this at Shayne and Nathan's place.

The yurt is amazing and very true to the photos. It is spacious, well equipped and warm. we lit the wood burner but then had to open the door to cool us down. ( what a waste)
It was had amazing natural light from the window in the centre of the roof.

Excellent hosts - Nathan had great communication and made check-in super easy. The yurt was very cosy and even when it was only 5 degrees outside, the inside was so warm (after a couple of minutes with a log on the fire!) Will recommend to anyone looking for a short stay in the North Wales mountains. - 10 May 2019

A lovely remote place to feel refreshed and relaxed. Great location with plenty of local walks and very easy to access somewhere a bit of a drive away.
Sooo cosy and great to be off grid for a while.

We had a lovely time here. Shayne & Nathan are lovely and helpful hosts with clear knowledge on the local area with lots of suggestions of what you can do in the area. We loved the suggested walk we went on and we visited a local waterfall as suggested which was beautiful. All in all, we had a great experience here and have already recommend the place to put friends and family. Thank you for having us :) - 15 Feb 2019

Shayne and Nathan were excellent hosts. They kept in constant communication before our trip and were very understanding when our plans had to change by a day. The yurt was cosy and unique and the surrounding landscape was fantastic to take-in in the morning with a cup of coffee! Nathan gave us plenty of sight-seeing recommendations in the area, but unfortunately, we were not there long enough to really explore. Will definitely be staying here again! - 23 Mar 2018

What can I say.... This was the first time we have stayed in a Yurt. It was peaceful, beautiful scenery, comfortable and very cosy. Shayne and Nathan are brilliant hosts, very welcoming and helpful. We hope to be back to stay again soon. A much needed break in the beautiful Berwyn Range. We would highly recommend anyone wanting a proper, comfortable and peaceful retreat from life’s rat race. - 25 Oct 2018

Firstly, what a Stunning location, beautifully furnished yurt, so peaceful and relaxing, we were lucky to have good weather, chilly and frosty, but that also brought wonderful sunsets, the log burner soon warms the lovely yurt up. We sat outside wrapped up in our blankets, nice mug of hot chocolate, and mulled wine in the hammocks, enjoying the endless change of scenery throughout our trip.
Shayne and Nathan are such a lovely couple, not to forget the lovely dogs Tilly and Ruby, who were kind enough to take us on a walk around the forest.

We had a lovely stay Shayne and Nathan’s Yurt! Even in October when it was wet and windy we could not have been warmer by the log fire!

There are plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable, like a hot shower, and a stove/sink area right outside your door, along with the dedicated kitchen area.

There are beautiful views, lots of wildlife to see (and hear), and lovely areas of woodland to explore.

There are a bunch of great places to visit such as local NT properties, the steam engine that goes through Corwen, and cafes and pubs. Just make sure...

We had an amazing 3 night stay in Nathan and Shayne’s yurt! Nathan gave us a warm welcome and tour on our arrival. We were blown away by the scenery surrounding the yurt and how self sufficient everything was. We’ve stayed in a few yurts before, but found this one really had all the amenities spot on! The kitchen, shower and toilet are on your door step, the fire pit and bbq are in a nice private area (also right beside the yurt) and the main log cabin has practically everything you can think of kitchen wise. This place is just gorgeous, despite the weather we had an amazing time, the yurts are so warm with the log burner going so you don't get cold and the sound of the rain when you're all cosy and warm inside is so relaxing they have all amenities needed, the shower was lovely and hot, the kitchen was well kitted out with everything you need, worth noting they don't have a microwave but we didn't need one anyway so all good for us.

Our hosts were super hospitable and friendly, any questions we had they were just a text away.
The large Yurt is authentically Mongolian and it is a truly magical space, perfect for a group to relax around a fire. The smaller yurt was more secluded, really gorgeous and had a beautiful view. Super warm and cosy and no need for the fires. Highly recommended location for a true peaceful ‘off the grid’ experience. Mother Earth is respected here. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped. Tilly and Ruby (host dogs) are very friendly and playful. What a fantastic stay we had in such a beautiful yurt in a beautiful part of Wales! Never stayed in such a relaxing, tranquil place, with just the birds tweeting and no one else around - it was perfect! If you are looking for something a bit different then the Yurt is great. Warm, cosy and good for stargazing in the evenings. Make sure you put the full address in as only the postcode takes you to a dead end at the end of the road. Nathan met us to check in and show us around, he was helpful and recommended a few local places to find food. Outstanding. Spent four nights over Christmas. In the big yurt. Sleeps 8. Terribly romantic. Nice double bed. Fairy lights so sweet. Stylish design. Hot shower and flushable loo. Huge gas oven for Christmas dinner. Shared kitchen with couple in other yurt which worked fine. Location remote and beautiful. Found great Welsh stew at Grouse Inn but we drove there. Would be scary in ice as some steep drops from the road. Top of a hill so great views but our 4x4 was reassuring! Two lovely chickens. No roosters. Amazing retreat location. You've got to visit. - 26 Dec 2017
