Spaces & Accommodation
Centred around a magnificent modern straw bale roundhouse, accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.
The roundhouse will very comfortably seat 20-25 people or to look at it another way, there's space for 8-10 yogis. Up to 6 guests can sleep in the roundhouse, whilst the yurts will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests between them.
Seats and fire bowls next to each yurt and a main central firepit near the roundhouse provide further communal spaces. The roundhouse and yurts are heated with wood burning stoves.
We may be 'off grid', but in terms of facilities you wouldn't know it! Plenty of hot water, a power shower, electricity in all the spaces and WiFi if required.View Spaces and Accommodation

If you're looking for something a bit quirky but that still has all the amenities you need, then this is a great place to go. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, the yurt was incredible and they have everything you need. Everything is clean and the setting is fantastic, beautiful and quiet with a nice babbling brook for background noise. The shared facilities were great and we never had any issues with waiting (there is only one other yurt). Overall, great stay. The beautiful weather definitely helped :) - 17 Jul 2019Tess Ingleby
What a privilege to have spent 3 days on a White Lion retreat, the 13 Laws of Lionhearted leadership, with Linda Tucker and Julie Lines, in this place...PURE MAGIC .... the love shayne and Nathan have put into creating this very special place is abundant, all feels in harmony with the beauty and deep quiet of nature that surrounds it . The Mongolian yurt is gorgeous, and the round house a wonderful space to work in .........and it's all off grid... the dogs and chickens integrate with whatever is going on as equals , there is... read more - 08 May 2018Gemma
We stayed in the bigger yert, and didnt use the log cabin at all expect for rubbish, as we wanted to experience off the grid living as much as possible. We cooked on the fire pit and heated food up in the stove. To do this you have to take your own cooking equipment. I'd also take an ex so you can go get your own logs. If you want to experience off the grid living but still want a bed and hot shower this place will defo give you that. Lovely views, it's quite privet, think we bumbed... read more - 03 Jun 2019
A beautiful and welcoming yurt set in an amazing location surrounded by forrests full of wild phesants! A great space to relax and reconnect with nature during the day then getting comfy around a fire pit at night and watching the stars. The yurt warms up a treat once the stove is lit and there were plenty of extra blankets to hand. The hosts Shayne and Nathan were always at hand to help if needed and provided a very friendly welcome. We took a short drive out down the A5 to Chirk Castle which makes a beautiful... read more - 02 Sep 2018

Ty mam mawr diolch yn fawr, om swastiastu,
This amazing fabulous, safe enchanted space, has shaken my mind, body, and spirit and soul to a totally pure delight exploration, of my self love ❤️ journey. Feeling the huge depths of the connection with the divine Mam Mawr (mother natural).
The most powerful connection I've ever felt to a place the practice, and the super duper inspirational holders of the space, Nathan and Shayne 🙏💫❤️❤️
I have absolutely loved the two life changing events, and am so grateful and and honoured, to have been able to shared... read more - 03 Dec 2017Alicia
Really lovely surroundings. Nathan was easy going (Shayne was away, but I am sure she is also lovely!) and the yurt was a perfect little hub. We walked up the big hill with huge backpacks and I have to say the reward felt greater! Buuuuutt take up Shayne and Nathan’s offer for a lift if available. You’ll be thankful later - 29 Jan 2020Ben
It was our first experience of a Yurt and my sons were thrilled when we were shown around by our host.
The facilities available were also fantastic with a large communal kitchen which was well stocked with kitchen equipment and the cleanest oven I think I’ve ever seen.
Our Yurt also had access to a private toilet, shower and small kitchen area which was perfect for grabbing a coffee before you are able to face anyone.
The yurt and area around the yurt feels very secluded and we only briefly saw the others staying in the other yurt once.
We used... read more - 17 Aug 2018
Just back from my wonderful week away solo stay in Shayne & Nathan's yurt. Secluded enough to feel cut off from it all but with all the amenities you could possibly need for a longer stay, it's nestled in a stunning location with plenty of excellent walks on your doorstep. The yurt itself was sizeable, homely and it didn't take long for me to settle in. Shayne & Nathan were brilliant hosts, full of helpful tips and always on-hand to keep the wood burner stocked - their dog Ruby even showed me around the Cynwyd Forest trails! I'll definitely be... read more - 15 Mar 2019Kenny Clayton
Had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful retreat recently. I can't recommend it highly enough. Ran by the most welcoming and friendly hosts, the retreat has everything you could wish for. Cosy yurts with log burning stoves, a well stocked Kitchen with everything you could possibly need, a roundhouse that's perfect for hosting a meditation or yoga class and miles upon miles of rolling hills and woodland walks. It's completely off the grid too. Perfect. - 30 Jun 2019
Just got back from a 2 night stay at Shayne & Nathan’s Yurt. We couldn’t recommend it more, the hosts were brilliant, very welcoming and always there if you needed help. The yurt itself was lovely, very cosy with the log burner heating it up in around 15 minutes, and the cabin with the kitchen/toilet shower was great. It is in an ideal location, quiet, nice views and close to little villages. We had a great time and hope to be back soon! Thanks! - 21 Feb 2018Andy
Beautiful secluded spot with incredible views. The yurt itself is fantastic - cosy, comfortable, the perfect getaway. Far enough to feel completely immersed in nature and to fully enjoy beautiful snowdonia, and close enough to the next village for anything you might need. Perfect spot! - 10 Nov 2017
We had a wonderful relaxing getaway here. The yurt is a beautiful space, romantic, comfortable and cosy. It's very quiet and the stars were amazing! We enjoyed walking in the Berwyn mountains and swimming/kayaking on Lake Bala.
Nathan was very welcoming and helpful, telling us about local walks and lending us a map.
The kitchen is well equipped and it's handy having a private loo right next to the yurt. I loved it here and wished we were staying longer. - 05 Sep 2018
Well, another blissful weekend at the Yurts. This time we had the weather with us and it was perfect- sunny and blowy, with chilly nights. Perfect yurt weather and Cynwyd weather as the walks through the woods and up by the waterfall are beautiful. As before, the yurts were equipped with logs, blankets and cushions for a cosy time In the evenings and everything was spotlessly clean. We were in the big yurt this time and it was fabulous. So much room. Very comfortable beds, a piping hot three way shower and well equipped kitchen makes it top glamping. Unforgettable... read more - 31 Mar 2019Oliver
What a beautiful space in idyllic surroundings, perfect to unwind, relax and connect with nature. The yurt is both beautifully decorated and very cosy, the fire kept us toasty and our two 5month old twins were slept like proverbial logs. Shayne and Nathan are perfect hosts and put the cherry on top of a much needed break away. We will be back to swim in the waterfalls in summer - 19 Mar 2020
Beautiful scenery, amazing yurt and a lovely couple.
Enjoyed 2 nights in one of Shayne & Nathans yurts. Such a cool space and has everything you need for a chilled out and relaxing time. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are great too. Hot shower and full range cooker! Hope to stay again soon! - 05 Jul 2018Iona
We were looking for somewhere to relax and this place offered just that! Stunning views surrounded by nature. Cosy yurt that warmed up in no time! So impressed with the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean on our arrival. Very friendly and helpful host who made us feel welcome immediately. Will definitely be returning in the future! - 10 May 2019
The yurt is as beautiful as in the pictures and we had a great time staying in it. The bed was comfy, there is a proper shower and all kitchen paraphernalia, one needs. Bring your own matches, towles, tea etc. though.
The surrounding area is beautiful, Pistyll Rhaeadr is really worth visiting. - 19 Jun 2018Jez
Beautiful location and wonderful hosts. Nathan met us when we arrived and gave us the tour and rundown of the facilities.
Lovely helpful hosts, we were given space to enjoy our holiday whilst never being far away should we need anything.
The kitchen is incredibly well appointed, shower is good and hot.
If you're looking for a getaway from it all you won't find better than this - 27 Dec 2018
The yurts are so lovely, they are decorated beautifully with everything you need close by. The hosts are very welcoming and happy to help with anything you need. They are a pleasure to stay in with relaxing surroundings and i look forward to going again in the future! Amazing place and a credit to the hosts!! - 12 Jul 2019
Shayne and Nathan are absolutely amazing hosts - they were attentive and incredibly kind! They welcomed our dog with love and he happily played with their dogs as well! Our stay in their yurt has everything you want and more, we spent everyday either in the yurt, outside next to the BBQ pit or walking in the countryside that surrounds their home. It is beautiful, cosy and relaxing - highly recommendable! Thank you to Shayne and Nathan for making Josh's birthday special and very memorable! - 20 May 2018
Absolutely fantastic stay! Not only was it a beautiful location but the hospitality during our time there made us wish we could have stayed longer!
Hosts welcomed our dog, who thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the other pets and wildlife. They were very accommodating of this and ensuring we had everything we required.
Yurt itself and decor created a peaceful ambience and we were supplied with enough wood to keep the fire going! Would definitely recommend a stay here with themes superb hosts - 11 Apr 2019
