Booking Terms & Conditions

Please read these Booking Terms & Conditions carefully. They outline our policies and procedures and clarify the contractual agreement between you, the lead person reserving the property (inclusive of all members of your party), referred to as “the Guests”, and Greener Glamping, owned and operated by Nathan Green, referred to as “the Owner” or “we” in this document.


1. General

1.1 The trading name of the business is Greener Glamping operating at Ty Mam Mawr Off Grid Retreat Centre

1.2 The business is owned and operated solely by Nathan Green.

1.3 The business address is:

1 Celyn Coed, Cynwyd, Corwen, Denbighshire, LL21 0LN, United Kingdom.

1.4 Rental agreements are made between Greener Glamping (“the Owner”) and the Guests (inclusive of all parties within that booking).

1.5 Payment of the deposit confirms the booking. Upon receipt of the deposit, the Guests confirm that they agree to these Booking Terms & Conditions and any additional policies displayed on the website or provided to the Guests, including the House Rules and Manual.


2. Rental Duration and Times

2.1 Rentals are for a minimum of 3 nights and a maximum of 14 nights unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2.2 Rentals commence at 17:00 on the first day of the rental period and end at 11:00 on the day of departure unless otherwise notified.

2.3 The arrival and departure dates constitute “the rental period” and will be stated on the Booking Confirmation. The rental period may only be extended with written approval from the Owner. If the Guests exceed the rental period without prior approval, they will be liable for any costs incurred as a result.


3. Greener Camping Club

3.1 In order to comply with countryside planning policy, Greener Glamping operates as a Greener Camping Club members-only campsite.

3.2 When you book, you will be enrolled as a member of the Club. Membership costs £12 per calendar year and provides access to participating sites across the UK.

3.3 Membership includes participation in the Club’s “Trees for Life” scheme, where a tree is planted for each member enrolled.

3.4 The £12 membership fee is non-refundable, including in the event of cancellation by either party.


4. Booking Requests, Confirmations, Payments and Deposits

4.1 Guests must provide valid debit or credit card details via the secure online payment system.

4.2 The booking amount may be pre-authorised for up to seven days while the booking request is reviewed. No charge is made until confirmed by the Owner.

4.3 Upon confirmation, payment will be charged according to the schedule below.

4.4 Bookings made 60 days or more before arrival require a 30% deposit. The balance is due 60 days before the rental period.

4.5 Bookings made less than 60 days before arrival require full payment at confirmation.

4.6 The deposit includes the £12 Greener Camping Club membership fee.

4.7 A £500 refundable security deposit is payable no later than 14 days before check-in. Failure to pay will be treated as cancellation by the Guests.

4.8 The security deposit will be refunded within 72 hours of departure, provided no deductions are required for damage or excessive cleaning.


5. Final Payment

5.1 The total rental price is as stated on the Ty Mam Mawr website (tymammawr.co.uk) at the time of booking.

5.2 Guests are liable for the full balance once the booking is accepted.

5.3 Final payment is due 60 days before arrival (“the due date”).

5.4 Failure to pay by the due date will result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.

5.5 The Owner is not responsible for issuing reminders.


6. Alteration of a Booking

6.1 Alterations require written agreement from the Owner.

6.2 Requests up to 45 days before arrival will be accommodated if possible.

6.3 Requests between 45 and 14 days before arrival may incur a 25% amendment fee.

6.4 Requests less than 14 days before arrival may incur a 50% amendment fee.

6.5 If new dates are at a higher rate, the higher rate applies.


7. Cancellation by the Guests

7.1 Cancellations must be made in writing before the rental period begins.

8. Cancellation by the Owner

8.1 The Owner reserves the right to cancel in exceptional circumstances (extreme weather, illness, fire, flooding, or events beyond reasonable control).

8.2 In such cases, all payments will be refunded (excluding Greener Camping Club membership).

8.3 No liability is accepted for consequential loss.


9. Covid or Government Restrictions

If cancellation is required due to government restrictions or verified illness:

  • Alternative dates will be offered where possible.
  • If rescheduling is not possible, standard cancellation terms apply.

If government restrictions prevent us from opening, we may request that deposits be held as credit for up to 12 months.


10. Guest Obligations (Summary)

The Guests agree:

  • To respect the property and leave it clean and tidy.
  • To pay for damage beyond reasonable wear and tear.
  • Not to exceed maximum occupancy.
  • Not to cause nuisance or disturbance.
  • To supervise children at all times.
  • To use fires, stoves, axes and equipment responsibly and at their own risk.
  • Not to smoke inside structures.
  • To recycle waste appropriately.

The Owner reserves the right to remove Guests behaving improperly or illegally, without refund.


11. Safety

Greener Glamping is a rural, nature-based site at approximately 400m elevation. Uneven ground, livestock, open fires, water features and weather conditions present inherent risks.

Parents are responsible for supervising children at all times.

The Owner accepts no liability for accidents, injury, or loss of property unless caused by negligence.


12. Pets

Dogs are permitted only with prior consent.

Guests are fully responsible for their pets and any damage caused. Additional charges apply as listed on the website.


13. Liability

13.1 Guests are responsible for their own safety and property.

13.2 The Owner accepts no liability for loss, damage or injury except where caused by negligence.

13.3 Guests must have appropriate holiday insurance.


14. Complaints

Complaints must be raised immediately during the stay to allow an opportunity to resolve the issue. Failure to do so may limit rights to claim.


15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Wales and England.


16. Authority to Book

The person making the booking confirms that:

  • They are over 18 years of age.
  • They are authorised to agree on behalf of all members of the party.
  • They accept responsibility for the group.

17. Changes to Terms

Updated Terms & Conditions will be published on the Ty Mam Mawr website and will apply to future bookings.


18. Severability

If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
