Greener Glamping

Posted on October 4, 2020July 30, 2025 by Nathan Green

So we are really pleased to announce that not only have we been certificated by the Greener Camping Club, we’ve also now sent our new Greener Glamping website live at greenerglamping.uk.

Our new site is specifically for renting the yurts only and not the whole of Ty Mam Mawr retreat centre.

    • Lovely bucolic location. Big 26 foot Mo colin style yurt or ger. toasty warm with log stove. Very friendly host. Would have been nice if matches had been provided or a lighter for heating stove, fire pit and cooker. Personal tour of his off grid system. Would highly recommend.

    • If you are looking for something a bit different then the Yurt is great. Warm, cosy and good for stargazing in the evenings. Make sure you put the full address in as only the postcode takes you to a dead end at the end of the road. Nathan met us to check in and show us around, he was helpful and recommended a few local places to find food. The Yurt gets very toasty andalthough the supplied wood only lasted one night, the DIY shop in Corwen sells wood and kindling quite cheap so it wasn't an issue. The yurt, toilet and kitchen were all well maintained and clean. We very much enjoyed our stay and would happily book again. Thanks Nathan!

    • Absolutely fantastic stay! Not only was it a beautiful location but the hospitality during our time there made us wish we could have stayed longer!

Hosts welcomed our dog, who thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the other pets and wildlife. They were very accommodating of this and ensuring we had everything we required.

Yurt itself and decor created a peaceful ambience and we were supplied with enough wood to keep the fire going! Would definitely recommend a stay here with themes superb hosts

    • One doesn’t always write fantastic Airb&b reviews, but this is the exception.
Words do not exist to explain the utter brilliance of the yurt!

The views are spectacular, great location to travel and see the many sights in Wales.

The site it’s self and facilities are clean and well kept. We were very warm in the yurt with the duvet provided (there are extra blankets if you get cold). We loved our visit and will be back again in the future !

    • We were two familes of four that booked the two Yurts for a 3 night stay over the new year period, and we enjoyed every second of it! What an absolutly fanstastic place to stay. The House manual is very thorough but all common sensse, as seasoned campers weren't put off. There are a few things to think about as the site is completley off grid, but all things that are considerate to conserve enery and the environment.

The Yurts are amazing and extremly compfortable and to wood stoves heat them up so quickly to the point of us stripping off and opening the door in the middle of winter. The beds are very comfortable and there seems to a be a nice relaxing calm that decents when yoa are inside the Yurts. The cabin with range size cooker and all the tools you need was a nice extra and the table comfortable sat all 8 of us round for our meals. The Cabin also has a toilet and shower which is also a nice luxury when staying in the outdoors. I however prefered to fully emerse myself in the experience and opted for the Sawdust toilet.

Nathan was a fantasict host who generally left us to it, however was there if we needed. He offered some great advice about the local area and a walk upto the the 'Liberty Bell' which covered many different terrains and caused lots of laughs when we expected a fully funtioning hunting lodge where we could maybe have a pint and it ended up being just the ruins of the old building. We also ventureed to Bala for a walk round the beautiful lake new years day and the sun was shining so we all went in for a paddle but all ended up wet through. We all returned to dry out rpound the fire pit while toasting marshmellows.

All in all both adults and children loved every minuite of our time there and will be booking for another long weekend in the summer. If your considering this i's say just book it and enjoy.
