Greener Glamping

Posted on October 4, 2020July 30, 2025 by Nathan Green

So we are really pleased to announce that not only have we been certificated by the Greener Camping Club, we’ve also now sent our new Greener Glamping website live at greenerglamping.uk.

Our new site is specifically for renting the yurts only and not the whole of Ty Mam Mawr retreat centre.

    • Lovely weekend stay, location was brilliant, amazing star gazing if you get a clear night! A truly special experience, from driving up the single way track entrance, you feel the city stress drift away! Wildlife all around and the sound of the stream was so relaxing. The yurt itself was perfect so well maintained and cosy with the log burner. Kitchen facility was good with everything you need. Hosts were welcoming, informative on the area and very friendly. Would highly recommend a stay here!

    • We had a perfect 2 day here. As fellow yurt lovers we knew we'd made the right choice on arrival. The yurt, kitchen and shower facilities were all immaculate coupled with the super friendly hosts- Shayne and Nathan and their very obedient dogs. If you get chance make sure you take a walk down to the local waterfall. Just beautiful. We're aiming to return in the Autumn for 3 days. We highly recommend!

    • We spent a fantastic four days in Shayne and Nathan's wonderful yurt. Very clean and comfortable and all the facilities were well thought out and worked well.

Shayne and Nathan were always on hand if we had any questions and gave us a warm welcome. Shayne took plenty of time showing us around and talking us through how evertying worked.

Snowdonia is within easy reach. We climbed Tryfan and Cadair Idris, both of which were about 45 minutes drive away.

Of course it helped that the weather was fantastic, but if it hadn't have been, the yurt is so big that we could have easily spent two days relaxing, reading, and listening to music in great comfort.

Thoroughly recommended! We hope to be back.

    • We have just returned from a very peaceful few days in the yurt. The outdoor firepit was fantastic and we enjoyed foraging for some wood in the forest (logs also available to purchase). Our fire was rained off on our second night (we managed to cook our burgers on it first) but the covered porch meant we could remain outside in nature with our music playing and a nice rum to keep us warm.
The yurt is spacious with a comfortable bed. The yurt warms up quickly with the log burner. We didn't leave the area on our first 2 days, choosing to walk in the forest, which is on your doorstep.
Day 3 we ventured out to Ruthin, the Gaol is an interest place to visit.
The rain was heavy so we decided to try a Sunday lunch in the Cynwyd local pub, the Blue Lion. The food was delicious and there was a friendly atmosphere in the pub. We then holed up in the cozy yurt and played games for the evening.
Definitely a place to visit for peace and relaxation in nature. 🙂
